Welcome to the homepage of the Australian Health Information Council (AHIC).

The Council provides policy advice to Health Ministers via the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council on long term directions and national strategic reform issues for IM&ICT in health.

Clinicians, consumers, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators, researchers and IT experts are members of AHIC. Their aim is to develop partnerships between the health and IT sectors with a view to encouraging a more effective and efficient use of IM&ICT in health.
