Overview

Three subgroups work to the Australian Health Information Council (AHIC) to progress work in the areas of Clinical Registry Governance Reference Group, Electronic Decision Support and Health Workforce IM&ICT Capacity Building. Electronic Decision Support

Health Workforce IM&ICT Capacity Building

There has been substantial investment in information management infrastructure in the health sector over recent years. In order to maximise the return on these investments, it is necessary to make sure that the health workforce has the knowledge and skill base to engage with and use the new technologies. Clinical Registry Governance Reference Group

AHIC, with the support of the National Health Information group, has established the Clinical Registry Governance Reference Group to guide the development of a framework for a national approach to clinical registry governance. Find out more about the Clinical Registry Governance Reference Group

Description Of Current Projects

Clinical Registry Governance Develop a report on the feasibility of a national governance role in registry development; establish an evaluation process for new registry proposals; and explore the feasibility of consistent data standards.
